i know i've broken 80 possibly 90 but i don't know if i've cracked 100 hours in a given work week. the longest shift i've ever had was 28 hours straight though. i got fucking robbed that day (and the next).
pulled a 48 hour shift once and got to sleep thru almost all of it
If I get Zerg-Rushed in my sleep, I am totally going to write a not-so-nice email to Blizzard.
Chrono Trigger mutant insectoids in our homes. Welcome to Obama's America.
Where's Dale Gribble when you need him?
It's not tall and it makes that skitter skitter sound, so I'm pretty sure it's not a rodent. It's a level 10 steel cockroach with an invisibility cloak.
There's this Sci-Fi... excuse me... SyFy monster running around in my kitchen. I just saw it for the second time. It's about 3x the size of the biggest cockroach I've ever seen, and it's grey (not brown). It skitters across the floor so quickly that you'd think it was a mouse, but the sound its legs make on the tile are quite insectoid. I checked everywhere it might have gone. Not only can I not find it... I can't figure out where it went.
If I manage to kill this Star Trek Chrono Trigger monster, I will indefinitely level up.
I'm pretty sure it's some kind of gargantuan albino cockroach... but there have never been other cockroaches here.

im still doing a bad job at both
Hey, you haven't quit yet. I quit school (understandable, considering my bullpucky major in terms of the economic climate) and regret it.
No such thing as a good job or a bad job in life, IMO. Both are equally meaningless.
Sucks if you're fucking up at law school, though. I hope you're using hyperbole on that one, because you're definitely smarter than those yuppie faggots who are your classmates.
im still doing a bad job at both
SAM, how is school and life these days?
Seriously, the DVD box set should be put into a museum. It's that much of a masterpiece. It's like reading a modern day Kafka. It slits the throat of what we perceive to be reality.
The soundtrack rules, too. It really captures the rampant dementia that's so pervasive in the series, and in our own lives while we cower behind smiling Pikachus and American Idol and what-have-you.
Also, there's this mysterious kid going around on rollerskates whacking these fearful people with a bent baseball bat. The mystery unravels in time. Paranoia Agent has a major social commentary aspect, especially in satirizing pop culture and its meaningless ties to peoples' emotions and beings. Anyway, I'd better not say anymore lest I give away the plot.
interesting concept for a show
Paranoia Agent is a super-intelligent psychological thriller anime. 13 episodes total, IIRC. HIGHLY recommended. Probably my favorite anime of all time. Each episode centers around a different protagonist, all of whom are fucked up people in one way or another, struggling with fear and their inability to accept their circumstances.
no words. i have no words for this.
its not so much subplots its the way 1 fight lasts 3-4 episodes (some how, each ending with no resolution of anything) or its an episode that exists outside the show, like an episode of Bleach where Kon is a super hero and goes around in his cape and shit. thats not a subplot, thats me pissed i downloaded an episode.
yeah, Shikamaru is probably my favorite character that came outa naruto as well. i mean, his character is such a stereotype these days, but he is perfectly placed and used in that show imo. i love bleach, actually but it took me a long time to get into it. i had to make it through the whole first story arc or so before i started to like any of the characters. never watched paranoia agent though.
Yeah, they're kissing ass after WW2. That explains everything!
I agree with your stance on crap anime subplots, but the only episodes of Naruto I will watch anymore are the ones that feature Shikamaru and his clever methods. Everything he does is borderline useless in terms of the main storyline, but he makes the show interesting.
I tried to get into Bleach and found myself confused over all these strange white Japanese kids running around Tokyo with some cutesy animal mascot character. It's like, what the hell is the plot? Paranoia Agent mastered it... they kept it short and sweet.
