sean- was the woman in question alert and oriented to person place and events? If so those cops can and should be charged with false imprisonment (kidnapping) as far as taking shoes or boots off at the door, i refuse that one even when we were called to a mosque during ramadan.

The other day my friends Mom had a seizure. She fell down a flight of stairs. My friend called 911, obviously, and the fire department came and spoke with her and very calmly made sure she was doing well, and asked if she would accompany them to the hospital. She refused, and my friend, also very calmly, tried to talk his mother into going with them. She is in her 60s and could have easily injured herself by falling down the stairs.

When the police arrived, she was in a daze. They attempted to get her to go with them to the hospital and she again refused.

After this the police INSISTED that she go with them and attempted to place her into handcuffs to take her to the hospital.

My friend insisted that was unnecessary, but when you call 911 you lose all your rights. They forcibly picked her up, put her in handcuffs, drew a tazer on her, and then, kicking and screaming, carried her downstairs.

She fell down the stairs. Again.

At this point, my friend is screaming at the police to put the tazer away (I had no idea having a seizure was a tazerable offense) and to take his mother out of handcuffs and to put her down.

They told him we would be arrested for "Mouthing off".

His mother, a surrealist artiest whose parents were in the holocaust, was also very very upset that they would not take off their shoes at the door.

When she eventully got home from the hospital she even had to mop her living room where the NINE police officers tracked mud through her house.

Rodney King gets beat down in LA and it's a full on riot.

An unarmed man gets 50 bullets in him and 8 people get arrested at a fake protest. I don't trust any protest that got permits first, and I don't trust any protest at which Al Sharpton gets arrested at all. Al Sharpton is a fucking joke. Fucking clown.

Injustice such as this should be be tolerated.

so the lazy assed cops (the usual variety) call my boss and start asking how come he was let out of the hospital. SO now my boss is trying to find a polite way to tell a couple of useless cops how to do their jobs.

1 if it was a domestic call the first time he should have been arrested
2 if they thought or knew he was a threat he should have been petitioned
fuck i hate cops

I've been trying to get Sean Bell's wife (finance) to come speak at our subversive coffee shop.
